About the Author

I look serious, don't I?Al Ulrich is a Blogger, Entrepreneur and Marketer. He is a self-proclaimed nerd and enjoys referring to himself in the third person in formal writing like this About the Author page. When he isn’t writing, he is busy taking self-important looking pictures of himself, like the picture to the left, to accompany the pages he writes about himself.

He launched his first website in 2009 and has a passion for helping others avoid the same mistakes he made on his own self-taught journey into the world of websites (not to be confused with the World of Warcraft, a game popular among his nerd associates).

Al has a Master of Business Administration degree and years of experience in marketing and managing websites for a Fortune 500 company. His writing style is straight-to-the-point and informative, with the occasional witty anecdote, sarcastic comment or odd rambling mixed in.

He thanks you for reading his various works and hopes you enjoy them. I know he appreciates it (spoiler alert), because I am the author.

Al’s first book, How to Build a Website and Publish Your First Page in Less Than 5 Minutes was published in 2013 on the Amazon Kindle platform. As the title suggests, the book demonstrates how to build a website in less than 5 minutes. No longer are websites the exclusive domain of super geeks and those willing to pay for super geeks. Just about anyone with a website connection and a credit card can build a website in just a few minutes if you follow the step-by-step directions laid out in this book.

He is currently writing a follow-up to that book, which should be available on Amazon soon. If you want me him to email you when the next book is published, sign up for the email newsletter by filling in your first name and email address in the box at the top-right corner of this page.
