Privacy Policy

This page explains the Privacy Policy for alulrich.com. Continue reading to learn about what information I might collect, how I collect it and what I do with it. I hope you’re in a comfortable chair, because this ought to be riveting.

If you have any questions about this or any other page on this site, feel free to send me an email using the contact page. I sincerely appreciate that you have taken time out of your life to visit this site.

It is important for me to let you know that your right to privacy is extremely important to me, and I will do what I can to respect and protect your privacy. As promised, here is my policy:

What information is collected?

Information is collected from you when you register on the site, fill out a form or subscribe to the newsletter. Please do not feel obligated in any way to do so–while I would love to be able to communicate with you directly and may encourage you to participate in a discussion or leave a comment, please note that I don’t want you to do so if you are concerned about the trade-off to managing your privacy.

I do use services provided by Amazon.com and Bluehost.com to run advertisements on the site–and their software uses something affectionately called cookies, which unfortunately you can’t eat. The cookies enable tracking of orders placed as a result of a visit to their site that started from a click through one of the affiliate links on the site. I don’t actually do anything with the data they collect, but you may want to check out the Amazon and Bluehost privacy policies if you want to learn more about what they do.

How is information used?

This seems to be a question best answered with specifics. I hope it doesn’t sound flippant, I’m just trying to be realistic and specific:

  • If you fill out a form asking me to contact you–I intend to use that information to respond to your question.
  • If you register for the email newsletter, I intend to use that information to email you on a periodic basis.
  • I will not transfer or sell your private information to any other party without your consent. In order to receive the email newsletter, you must complete a double-opt-in, clearly indicating your consent.
  • To opt-out from the email newsletter, please use the unsubscribe link included in each and every email. Personally, I feel like I sign up for and unsubscribe from newsletters all the time. Please don’t hesitate to sign up or unsubscribe.

Is any of your information disclosed to a third-party?

As mentioned earlier, I will not transfer or sell your private information to a third party except when appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect somone’s rights, property, or safety.

Non-personally identifiable or aggregate visitor information (eg. not your private information) may be provided to select trusted third-parties for advertising, marketing or other purposes. This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

Your Consent

By using this site, you consent to the privacy policy.
